Hallo, ich heiße Julian Datta und bin Gitarrist und Komponist.

Außerdem habe ich in den letzten Jahren gearbeitet mit dem Performance/ Improvisationsprojekt Postkarten aus dem Labyrinth, dem Songwriter/Produzenten Frankie Flowerz aka Mohan Das (Alben Girlz and Boyz, 2013, und Tales from the Living Room, 2019, beide Funkhaus Music) und der „Pocket Soul Band“ Key of Life.

Ich unterrichte professionell seit 2006, zwischenzeitlich auch an der Musikschule Meier in Wentorf bei Hamburg und der Freien Musikschule Lichterfelde West in Berlin.

Mit verschiedenen Projekten war ich unterwegs auf Bühnen in ganz Deutschland, in Österreich, der Schweiz, Polen, Frankreich, dem Senegal und den USA.

2013 habe ich im Musiktheater-Ensemble des argentinischen Regisseurs und Komponisten Santiago Blaum mitgewirkt. 2011 habe ich mit klassischer Gitarre an Christian Conrads Soundtrack für den Kinofilm "Westwind“ mitgearbeitet.

Oft aufgetreten bin ich mit dem Cabaret/Chanson Duo Les Cigales Caramels, der FreeJazz/Satire-Formation Fehlkauf sowie mit der Rapperin und Aktivistin Sister Fa.

In recent years, I've also worked with performance/improvisation-project Postcards from the Labyrinth, Songwriter/Producer Frankie Flowerz aka Mohan Das (albums Girlz and Boyz, 2013, and Tales from the Living Room, 2019) as well as "pocket soul band" Key of Life.

I started teaching professionally in 2006 and have since also taught at  Musikschule Meier in Wentorf, Hamburg, and at Freie Musikschule Lichterfelde West, Berlin.

With various projects, I've played on stages all over Germany, in Austria, Switzerland, Poland, France, Senegal and the United States.

In 2013, I toured with the music-theater-group of composer/director Santiago Blaum from Argentina. In 2011, I played some classical guitar on Christian Conrad's soundtrack for the German movie "Westwind".

I've performed frequently with Cabaret/Chanson-duo Les Cigales Caramels, free jazz/satire-project Fehlkauf,  and with rapper/activist Sister Fa.
